The first new cria (baby alpaca) of this year has finally been born at Mayfield! Here you can Francesca having a well-earned rest in the sun. And so soon after birth she is still unsteady on her feet, so needs to lean on mum Forsythia from time to time!

Francesca was born at 1:35pm on 26th April 2007, weighing 16lb. She is light fawn in colour.
