On Friday the 16th February from 1-2 pm, the Alpacas Hands-on Experience invites anyone who has adopted an alpaca to come along for an hour and get some hands-on experience with their animal. If your alpaca has been halter trained, you can take a walk with them. Alternatively you can walk with another halter-trained animal, or maybe even get involved in some halter training! Elaine Sharp, the owner of Mayfield alpacas, will be on hand to give specific information about your animal - its background, breeding, fleece facts, etc.
